I am registered through the CPCA as a Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate. I draw from ACT, CBT, person-centered, family systems, and postmodern approaches uniquely suited to the individual, couple or family. I have a passion for mental wellness, and have previously worked in the perinatal field, as well as nurturing the developing minds of children and youth. I am connected deeply to my indigenous roots, and helping others work through intergenerational trauma.
Trauma work can be deep, and heavy. I like to provide as comfortable and safe of a space as possible to work through it.
I work with diverse, and neuro diverse people. I believe in empowering individuals in their skills, and never guiding people to fit in a box, or using a 'one size fits all' approach. This includes children, adolescents, couples, families and adults. I am an LGBTQ+ ally.
Parenting can also be a challenge, and I believe in shame-free parenting support.
Outside of work, you’ll find me with my head in the books, preferably outside, and taking my little one on adventures. I also volunteer on the Board of Directors for the Indigenous Friendship Society.
